“Aakaash” (1953) is a forgotten movie which had Agha, Balraj Sahni, Nadira, Manmohan Krishan, Shammi (not to be confused with Shammi Kapoor), Badri Prasad, Jillo etc in it.
This movie has some songs that are as rare to find as the movie itself. The songs may be forgotten, but they are classics and they deserve to be much better known among music lovers. Here is a rare song from this movie. It is sung by Lata. Satyendra Athaiyya is the lyricist and Anil Biswas composed the music.

atulji have u heard this song’ so gayee chandani’?what a lovely compo.and what a heart piercing ,lyrics and melodious voice of none other than lataji. just fantastic. i can not imagin that any other singer would have sung this song. three cheers to atulji. n.b. there must be other songs too. in this film. can it be possible to have them here.
