Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Tu har ek museebat ka muqaabla kar re

Posted on: May 22, 2011

In Hindi movies, most songs are picturised on the lead actors. But then there are certain songs which are either background songs or songs picturised on lesser actors. These songs are often sung by part time singers who are better known for some other activities in movies. For instance, these singers may be better known as lyricists or music directors.

In the past, I have discussed songs sung by lyricists/music directors. For instance, I have discussed songs sung by Pradeep,C Ramchandra,Anil Biswas, Chitragupta,Madan Mohan, S D Burman, R D Burman etc. In this list I have not included Hemant Kumar because he can for all pracical purposes be regarded as a full fledged singer.

Most of the above mentioned part time singers sang their own creations. there are some exceptions where a part time singer sang under someone else. Here is one such song. This song is from “Aanchal” (1960). This song is sung by Sudhir Phadke who is better known as a music director. Sudhir Phadke was not the music director of this movie. It was C Ramchandra who composed the music for this movie.

This song is written by Pradeep. In fact, I cannot help but think that Sudhir Phadke sounds quite similar to Pradeep in his singing style in this song.

Here is this lovely inspirational song from “Aanchal” (1960).

Only the audio of this song is available. I request my knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Tu har ek museebat ka muqaabla kar le (Aanchal) (1960) Singer-Sudhir Phadke, Lyrics-Pradeep, MD-C Ramchandra

Lyrics

tu har ek museebat ka muqaabla kar re
himmat se saamna kar re
Bhagwaan ke bande
dukhon se na dar
tu har ek museebat ka muqaabla kar re
himmat se saamna kar re
Bhagwaan ke bande
dukhon se na dar

sukh dukh to daata ki den hai
jo bhi mile tu le le
sukh dukh to daata ki den hai
jo bhi mile tu le le
har andhiyaari raat ke peechhe
hain kirnon ke mele
har andhiyaari raat ke peechhe
hain kirnon ke mele
aaj agar hain chhaaye baadal
aaj agar hain chhaaye baadal
kal jaayenge bikhar re
Bhagwaan ke bande
dukhon se na dar

naahaq aaj lutaa mat pagle
tu ankhiyan ke moti
tu ankhiyan ke moti
ek na ek din is duniyaa mein
sab ki kasauti hoti
sab ki kasauti hoti
tu kyun chinta kartaa praani
tu kyun chinta kartaa praani
Prabhu ko sabki fikar re
Bhagwaan ke bande
dukhon se na dar
tu har ek museebat ka muqaabla kar re
himmat se saamna kar re
Bhagwaan ke bande
dukhon se na dar

Atul ji,
There is a very interesting story behind S.Phadke singing this song.
Phadke had a friend who wanted to produce a film in Marathi, based on a famous Marathi Detective Dhananjay(based on Sherlock Holmes). He wanted C.Ramchandra to do the Main Role in the film.As S.Phadke was CR’s good friend, they both went to him with the offer.CR was composing Aanchal’s music that time.
Since be was too busy,he asked them to postpone their project for some time.He agreed to do the film only if Sudhir Phadke sang under him this song.
Sudhir Phadke did sing this song and C.Ramchandra did act as a Hero in the Marathi film ‘Dhananjay’,though after few more years.
This anecdote is narrated by C.Ramchandra in one of the marathi books.
