25th july is the birth anniversary of Sudhir Phadke. On this occasion, I have discussed a raere Sudhir Phadke composition. Here is another rare and special Sudhir Phadke composition.
This song is from a forgotten movie called “Sajni” (1956). The song is written by Pt Narendra Sharma. The song is a duet. Lata is the female playback singer. and guess who is the male playback singer ? It is none other than Sudhir Phadke himself !
Here is this rare gem of a song on the occasion of Sudhir Phadke’s birth anniversary.
Song-Qismat ka nahin dosh baawre (Sajni) (1956) Singers-Lata, Sudhir Phadke, Lyrics-Narendra Sharma, MD-Sudhir Phadke
Lyrics
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre
aa aa aa
aa aa
aa aa
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre,
dosh nahin Bhagwaan kaa
dukh denaa insaan ko jag mein,
kaam rahaa insaan kaa
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre
sukh ki neend naa so paayegaa,
jaago paapi jaag re
kiski phulwaari mein lagaa di,
naahak tu ne aag re
jagmag jalne diyaa naa jag mein
deep kisi ke praan kaa
dukh denaa insaan ko jag mein,
kaam rahaa insaan kaa
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre
kis ke ras ko vishh kar daalaa
kis ke ras ko vishh kar daalaa
kiyaa kisi dukh kaa vishh pyaalaa
ik din tujhko bhi dans legi,
tere paapon ki vish jwaalaa
sholaa bhadak uthhegaa ek din,
tere soye gyaan kaa
dukh denaa insaan ko jag mein,
kaam rahaa insaan kaa
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre
dosh nahin Bhagwaan kaa
dukh denaa insaan ko jag mein,
kaam rahaa insaan kaa
qismat kaa nahin dosh baawre

He might be the only man to be a part of not one but two TRIMURTIES. The Hindi trimurti constituted Sudhir Phadke, Narendra Sharma and Lata Mangeshkar, also in the 50s and the 60s. Its reign might not have been that exclusive but it gave dozens of immortal melodies and whenever they met some wonderful song came into being.

Atul ji,
SUDHIR PHADKE was not only a Music Director, but he was also a very famous, popular and respected singer in Marathi. His filmi and non filmi songs are matters of sentiments for Marathi people. His Bhavgeets are famous. There was a TRIMURTI of Marathi films namely (Director) Raja Paranjape,(Lyricist) G.D.Madgulkar and (Composer/singer)Sudhir Phadke. They ruled in Marathi world in 50s and 60s.
Sudhir Phadke’s programme of GEET RAMAYAN (Lyrics by G.D.Madgulkar) songs was extremely popular (from 1955 to 1965) and was staged in Maharashtra,Karnataka,M.P,A.P., Delhi,London and USA.These records are best sellers even today.
He sang many songs in Hindi too,but pronunciation and diction hindered his further foray in Hindi singing.
