on:“Saawan Aaya Re” (1949) is a movie starring Kishore Sahu, Ramola Devi, David Abraham, Pratima Devi, Ramesh Gupta etc. Kishore Sahu himself is the director of this movie.
Here is a song from this movie. This song is sung by Rafi and Shamshad Begam. Though Kishore Sahu and Ramola Devi (I hope I have identified them correctly) are present in the picturisation, they are not lip syncing. Rather, the song is coming out of a record player. It is obvious that the duo are sharing a strained relationship, and the song in fact seems to underline that fact.
Bharat Vyas is the lyricist of this song. Music is composed by Khemchand Prakash.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie, about which not much information seems to be available.
Here is the detailed information about this movie that Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh has provided for us-

Lyrics
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
main bhool rahaa
bhool rahaa
hoon jo kahaani
main bhool rahaa
bhool rahaa
hoon jo kahaani
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
wo saanjh ghulaabi
wo madhur chandni raaten
wo saanjh ghulaabi
wo madhur chandni raaten
un oonchhe pahaadon ke tale pyaar ki baaten
un oonchhe pahaadon ke tale pyaar ki baaten
saawan ke maheene
wo hawa
rut wo suhaani
saawan ke maheene
wo hawa
rut wo suhaani
mat yaad dilaa
yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
main bhool rahaa
bhool rahaa
hoon jo kahaani
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
lo doob raha sooraj
huyi saanjh ki bela
saanjh ki bela
daali pe koi kook rahaa
panchhi akela
panchhi akela
aankhon ki do boondon mein liye
kal ki kahaani
kal ki kahaani
kal ki kahaani
mat yaad dila
yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
mat yaad dila
yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
qismat ne kiyaa door mujhe
mil na sakoongi
daali se gira phool hoon main
khil na sakoongi
aansoo se likhi jaati hai
meri ye kahaani
aansoo se likhi jaati hai
meri ye kahaani
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa
baaten puraani
ae dil na mujhe yaad dilaa

I saw the movie when it was released back in 1949. The music was quite good. I remember at least two more songs: (1) Mae to gawane chali hoon kaahe bole papihaa – a happy song; and (2) Khushi ki aas rahi, dil ko aur khushi na hui – a sad song. The song you have discussed above was in at least two parts, and I think one was a happy one. There were three girls in the movie and Kishore Sahu romanced with at least two of them. One did die in the story.
