“Moorti” (1945) is one of those movies are are so obscure that finding its songs on YT is often out of question. So it always comes as a pleasant surprise when one can locate such songs there. And I was pleasantly surprised to see this song already uploaded, though any details on this song were conspicuous by their absence. It is not that I am complaining. With such obscure songs, any small mercies will do.
Here is this lovely song from “Moorti”(1945). The song is sung by Khursheed, Mukesh and Hamida Banu. Only the audio of this song is avaialable, so one has to make guesses about how the song is picturised. Khursheed, the leading lady of the song obvously sang for herself. Motilal, the leading lad 🙂 must have lip synced in the voice of Mukesh. That leaves Hamida Banu. I wonder who lip synced in her voice in the movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this matter.
The song is written by Pt Indra Chandra. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
What a nice and lovely song it is to listen to ! That is the case even if one happens to listen to this song for the first time, as was the case with me.
