“Painter Babu” (1983) was produced by Manoj Kumar under his banner of VIP Films with the aim of launching the career of his son brother Rajeev Goswami. The movie had Rajeev Goswami, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Neelima Parandekar, Veerender Sharma, Dheeraj Kumar, Aruna Irani, Madan Puri, Om Shiv Puri, Neelam, Rakesh Bedi, Bandini Mishra, Birbal, C.S.Dubey, Bharat Kapoor, Pinchoo Kapoor, Rajen Kapoor, Kamini Kaushal, Lalita Kumari, Ram Mohan,Meena T, Tuntun, Goga Kapoor, Sudhir Dalvi, etc.
The movie had some nice songs in it but the movie deservedly flopped.
This movie had music by Uttam Singh and Jagdish Khanna as Uttam Jagdish.
Toady (11th july) is the death anniversary of lyricist Qateel Shifai. On this occasion, here is a song from “Painter Babu” (1983). This song is sung by Lata, Mahendra Kapoor and chorus. This song is picturised as a mujra song on Aruna Irani, Rajeev Goswami Ram Mohan etc.

Qateel Shifai is regarded as a counterpart of Sahir Ludhianvi in Pakistan. Both were pioneer in using Urdu-Hindi words in their ghazals to make them popular among the masses.
His most famous ghazal is ‘ulfat ki nayi manzil ko chala’ from a Pakistani film ‘Qateel’ (1955) sung by Iqbal Bano.

I think Rajeev Goswami is brother of Manoj kumar.He acted in his brother`s movies like Clerk(1989-Sonu walia or Anita raj),Kalyug aur Ramayan(1987-with southern actress Madhavi),Deshwasi(1991-Hema malini,Poonam Dhillon,Mandakini), and also directed Deshwasi(1991)
Kunal Goswami is the son of Manoj kumar, who acted in films like Vishkanya,Aakhri baazi,Kalaakar,Do Gulaab,Kranthi,Jai Hind,Numbri Aadmi,Paap ki kamaee,Ricky,Ghunghroo.
Painter Babu was made to launch Manoj Kumar`s brother along with New face Meenakshi Sheshadri and Neelima Parandekar,but Meenakshi got noticed(Before her “NOSE” job-besides “Hero”) and even Neelima also got more chances T.V.serials.

yes, rajeev is the brother. Kunal, the actor son, and another son, Vishal was singer, who gave voice for Kunal.
