Today (12 july) is the death anniversary of Rajendra Kumar. Movies featuring Rajendra Kumar tended to have fantastic music in them. As a result, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to discussing songs picturised on Rajendra Kumar. And this despite the fact that we have already discussed several such songs in the blog in the past.
Rajendra Kumar began his career in 1950s and he came on his own in 1960s. After early 1970s, there was a hiatus for Rajendra Kumar and after than he began to act again in Hindi movies in late 1970s. In these movies, Rajendra Kumar played as elderly statesman kind of role which was not the Hero’s role but it used to be an important role nevertheless.
“Bin Phere Ham Tere” (1979) was one such movie. This movie was an N P International Production. It was produced by N P Singh and directed by Rajat Rakshit. The movie had Vinod Mehra, Sarika, Rajendra Kumar, Asha Parekh, Nadira, Nazneen, Kamal Kapoor, Johnny whisky, C.S.Dubey, Mushthaq Merchant, Jagadish Raj, Janki Dass, etc in it.
Here is the title song cum theme song from this movie. This nice and hummable song gets played in the movie at several occasions as the situation demands. This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. The song is picturised on Rajendra Kumar and Asha Parekh (another leading actor of 1960s making her acting comback at the same time).
