“Daak Babu” (1954) was a Jubilee Pictures presentation. It was directed by Lekhraj Bhakri. The movie had Talat Mehmood, Nadira, Radhakrishan, Kuldip Kaur, Yashodhara Katju, Manmohan Krishnan etc in it.
Here is an obscure song from this obscure movie. It is sung by Talat Mehmood. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Dhaniram.
Only the audio of this song is available, but seeing that Talat Mehmood acted in this movie, I guess that the song was picturised on Talat Mehmood himself.

Aur Khyati ji,
Aap ki maths ke vishleshan ke to sadqe jaayen. Un 665 posts to chhod kar, baaki 5648 post ke peechhe to ek hi haath aur ek ih naam hai. Wohi naam to is blog ke sheershak (title) mein hai. In saahab ke dedication aur in ki tanmayataa ka koi saani nahin. Aur ek hi dhun mein, ye geeton ka kaarvaan apne saath liye huye badhe jaa rahe hain.

Achha hai Sudhirbhai ki aap ye vishleshan ko pehchan paaye. Mujhe to aise laga ki jaise sabhi padhnewaale number dekh ke dar gaye ya bhaag gaye 😆 Like you have said, hats off to Atulji. (Kabhi sochti hoon ki jo koi topi/hat nahin pehnta wo kya keh sakta hai? 😆 koi jawaab hai? )

Congratulations to all readers on the submission of 1000 lyrics in this blog. What a fantastic milestone.
Atul’s tremendous effort, complemented by the zeal of contributors has seen this blog go from strength to strength. It certainly has reached new heights of popularity. As ever, this blog has been a valuable source of reference as well as a portal of entertainment for music lovers of all ilk.

Hats off to your “observation”. Congratulations to all readers and thanks to Atulji and all contributors for sharing their precious time, effort, knowledge & joy with all music lovers. Here is a simple math – 1000 lyrics contributed by 13 people, 665 posts contributed by 12 people (with seven contributors common in both). That makes it 1665 songs by readers. Atulji has posted 6313 songs till date (correct me Atulji if I am wrong) So now the question is who is that mysterious person who has devoted his four years for all music lovers without any intention of name and fame for all music lovers and has written 4648 complete posts (with lyrics) and 1000 posts for the lyrics we have sent. Ab bolo hum kis ka sukriya ada kare?
Regarding Talat sahab’s song- I love to listen to all of his songs, just like Rafi sahab. 🙂
