Har phool mein masti hai rangeen hai mausam

Posted on: September 25, 2012

“Maaya Baazaar” (1958) was a Basant Pictures Production. It was directed by Babubhai Mistry. The movie had Anita Guha, Mahipal, Vasant Pahelwan, Raj Kumar (not the famous one), Ullhas, B. M. Vyas, Ramsingh, Indira etc.

Here is a song from this movie. It is a duet sung by Asha Bhonsle and Rafi. It is picturised on Anita Guha and Raj Kumar (not the famous one). G S Nepali is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.

There is some dialogue too in the video, from which it becomes clear that the picturisation is based on an episode of Mahabhrat and that Anita Guha and Raj Kumar play the role of Uttara and Abhimanyu (Arjun’s song) respectively who are in love with each other.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by nahm.

Lyrics(Provided by nahm)

Har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham
har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham

har phool mein masti hai

chhalkaata aaj mausam
phoolon ki pyaliyaan
bhanvre ko dekh titli
deti hain taaliyan

chhalkaata aaj mausam
phoolon ki pyaaliyaan
bhanvre ko dekh titli
deti hain taaliyaan

har kunj mein gunjan hai
har bol mein pancham
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham
Har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham
har phool mein masti hai

aa aaa
aaaa aaaa aa aa

aa aaa
aaaa aaaa aa aa

bajti hai pyaar ban ke
jeewan ki raagini

chanda ke sang chalti
chanda ki chaandni
bajti hai pyaar ban ke
jeewan ki raagini

chanda ke sang chalti
chanda ki chaandni
aankhon mein jhoomti hai
yeh preet ki poonam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham

har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham
har phool mein masti hai

har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham

har phool mein masti hai
rangeen hai mausam
dil mera tere pyaar mein
naache re chhamaa chham

Haha! Atul, thanks to your blog and also Tom’s obsession with some obscure films, I do know the lesser known Raj Kumar!

Not like the famous Raj Kumar of course, no way. Unlike apna dumdaar Raj Kumar, this one was a pheeki lassi!

There are still many sites who mistake both Raj Kumars for one and the same.

Thiis song/story/ vanue/the boat/the river/the couple/the dresses/a search team/hiding… very similar to the song you posted couple days ago ‘yeh chaand to mrudang hai’ from the film “Sri Krishna Anjun Yudhh”(1971) by Rafi and Shyama Chittar 🙂

Atul ji,
MAAYAA BAAZAAR-1958 was a wonderful film to watch.originally it was made as a Telugu film, later made in Tamil with different set of cast and thirdly it was dubbed in Kannada from the Telugu version.
This interesting story of Maya Bazar has always lured the filmmakers from the silent era and films with name Maya Bazar were made in different languages in 1925,1932,1935,1939,1949,1957,1958,1983,1984,1995,2006,2008 and 2011.
This is one of the most, enchanting and hilarious love story from Mahabharat.
Before we embark upon the story and other details, some notes about RAAJ KUMAR.
Most people today know only the RAAJ KUMAR(Jaani wala-dialogue master),but several Rajkumars were acting in Hindi films, and unwittingly creating problems to people like us to repeatedly segragate them from each others, filmwise, and explaining again and again the differnce in the actors.
Though there were several Rak kumars like Raaj kumar(Jaani),Rajkumar Gupta(Film Jagriti),Rajkumar Pandey(Maaya Bazaar-58),Rajkumar Yadav and to boot,a plain Rajkumar too !,
In this film Rajkumar Pandey was doing the role of Abhimanyu, opposite Anita Guha.
In ancient times Pandavas had the rule on Hastinapur,Kauravas on Indraprastha and Krishna-Balram on Dwaraka. When Pandavas were in Vanvas,Arjun sends his wife Subhadra(Sulochana Chatterji) and son Abhimanyu(Rajkumar pandey) to Balram (Ulhas) in Dwaraka.Abhimanyu and Balram’s daughter Surekha or SashiRekha(Anita guha) are in love but Revati(Ratnamala)-Balram’s wife does not like it since now Pandavas are poor.Balaram is forced(against his wish) to marry Surekha to Duryodhan’s son Kumar.
Subhadra and Abhimanyu approach Ghatotkach(Vasant rao Pehalwan) son of Bhim, for help.He brings Surekha and her sakhi to the jungle where he is based,by his magic. Then he takes the form of Surekha and stands for marriage with Kumar. In the marriage ceremony Ghatotkachand his helpers make lot of funny things,Ghatotkach also creates a false bazar for the guests to buy gifts etc,and generally disrupts the marriage.during this commotion Revathi and Balram see the real cunningness of Duryodhan and Shakuni mama.Meanwhile Surekha and Abhimanyu are married in the jungle. Finally Revati,Balram and all others accept the newlyweds and bless them.Krishna(Mahipal) is also a party to all this plan.
