Tumhi ne dil mera chheen ke mujhko rula diyaa

on:“Air Mail” (1960) must be one of the most obscure Hindi movies of all time. This B grade movie was a People Pictures presentation. It was directed by B J Patel. The movie had Jyoti, Mirajkar, Ranjan, Malini, Rajen Kapoor etc in it.
Since it was a B grade movie, so it follows that this movie must have some A grade music in it. And that is how it turns out to be.
Here is a forgotten gem from this movie. It is a duet which is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sardul Singh Kwatra.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)
tumhi ne dil mera dil chheen ke
mujhko rulaa diya
tumhi ne dil mera dil chheen ke
mujhko rulaa diya
jhoothhe balam bholey sanam
maine tujhe pehchhaan liya
haay
tumhi ne dil mera dil chheen ke mujhko rulaa diya
tune mujhpe chhode nazaro ke teer kyun
ooo toone mujhpe daali latt ki zanjeer kyun
kuchh bhi kaho pyaar mein to
toone hi pehla waar kiya
tumhi ne dil mere dil chheen ke mujhko rulaa diya
kya haseen hain mausam
mastaana hai samaa
hooo aaj bass tum jaisa
diwana hai samaa
ae ji suno ye to kaho
mujko deewaana kisne kiya
tumhi ne dil mere dil chheen ke
mujhko rulaa diya
dil to dil hai jaan bhi
tujhpe kurbaan hai
ho o o
jaan to kya hain tujhpe sadke imaan hain
maine tujhe toone mujhe
aaj se aapna maan liya
tumhi ne dil mere dil chheen ke
mujhko rulaa diya
jhoothe balam bhole sanam
maine tujhe pehchhan liya
haay
tumhi ne dil mere dil chheen ke
mujhko rulaa diya

Yes Nitin ji,
The song reminds very strongly of “Maang Ke Saath Tumhaara. . .” from film ‘Naya Daur’.
