“Mulaaqaat” (1947) was a Taj Mahal Pictures Production movie. This movie was directed by Munshi Dil and it had Prem Adib and Naseem Bano in lead roles.
Today (12 december) is the 105th birth anniversary of Khemchand Prakash. On this occasion, here is a song from “Mulaaqaat” (1947). The song is sung by Bulo C Rani, an erstwhile assistant to Khemchand Prakash who had already become a full fledged music director by the time he sang this song. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist and music is composed by Khemchand Prakash.
Only the audio of this song is available and as such it is difficult to say how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us more about this movie as well as about the picturisation of this song.

First time hearing BCR’s voice. I know his 2 sons personally. One stays in Versova and another in Pune after shifting from Shivaji Park, Mumbai

On a side note, talk of Bombay and Pune always reminds me of “Vada Pav”. I so miss it and other Maharashtrian food :(.

Today is also 12.12.12. so makes it even more special :). Today also happens to be the birthday, oops, birth anniversary of the southern Superstar, Rajinikanth (aka) Sivaji Rao Gaekwad.
