Part I

Dil tod ke jaana hai
to phir kal hi chale jaiyyo
dil tod ke jaana hai
phir kal hi chale jaiyyo
mukh mod ke jaana hai
phir kal hi
phir kal hi ee ee
phir kal hi chale jaiyyo
Dil tod ke jaana hai
phir kal hi chale jaiyyo raam
dil tod ke jaana hai
mukh mod ke jaana hai
koi mandir mein jaake dhoodhta hai
devta apna
kisi ko masjidon mein
mil hi jaata hai
khuda apna
magar apna but e qaatil
badi mushqil se milta hai
ye harjaayi miley to
aashiqon ke dil mein milta hai
aa aaa aaa aaa
aa aa aa aa aaa
rulaaya ham ghareebon ko
to muskaane laga zaalim
jo duniya loot li dil ki
to lo jaane laga zaalim
magar ye yaad rakhna yaad
daaman ko na chhodegi
mera dil todne waale
ye tera dil bhi todegi
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa
jo dil kadmon pe rakh de
tu use thokar lagaata hai
joi tera ho chuka hai
tu hansi uski udaata hai
bada bedard hai
ulfat ko yoon barbaad hai
main tum par jaan deta hoon
to tu gairon pe marta hai
dil tod ke jaana hai
mukh mod ke jaana hai
yoon chhod ke jaana hai

ulfat ko yoon badnaam karta hai
main tum per jaan deta hoon

The word is :
magar apna ‘ but-e-qaatil ‘
badi mushqil se milta hai
Last stanza :
bada bedard hai
ulfat ko yoon ‘ badnaam ‘ hai
As seen from the video, this is ‘roadside tamasha song’ and not ‘mujra’ song.

But the second version seems to be mujra song.

In my view, a Mujra implies a Kotha or at least a courtesan or tawaif singing and dancing in a mehfil.
In this scene there is nothing like a mujra. I request you take a look at the song “piya tose naina laage re ‘ from “Guide’ , the start in the house and than on to stage performance. The second version is very similar to that situation. Tanuja is telling the child that this song performance is a stepping stone to further her career/future.
Regards.
