“Farz” (1967) was produced by Sundarlal Nahta under the banner of Vijaylakshmi Pictures. The movie was directed by Ravi Nagaich. The movie had Jeetendra, Babita, Aruna Irani, Kanchana, Sajjan, Agha, Manohar Deepak, Mukri, Mohan Choti, Puranik, Prakash, Prem Kumar, Ramesh, Jaggarao, Samson, David, Raghavalu, Mari, Raja Rao, Papi, Mohan, Sathi Babu, Koteswara Rao, Ramu, Nagesh, Raj Nala etc in it.
This movie had Jeetendra in the role of a secret agent. Needless to say, Jeetendra stuck out like a sore thumb in the movie unlike what most secret agents are supposed to do. More than doing “jaasoosi”, Jeetendra would be seen singing and dancing all over the place.
No matter what is the profession of a hero in Hindi movies (secret agent, teacher, student, truck driver, scientist , rickshaw puller, or unemployed), most of his time in a Hindi movie is spent romancing the leading lady. That may not leave our hero much time for his core activity, in my opinion.
Four songs from this movie(all extremely popular to this day) have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from the movie. This song is sung by Lata. The picturisation shows Babita wooing Jeetendra in a public garden, which no other souls in sight. 🙂

A group of friends got together to watch this film some time back. It was not much. The songs were the kind you always enjoy watching.
