“Ek Do Teen” (1953) was a Shorey Films Production. After the success of his “Ek Thhi Ladki” (1949), Roop Shorey made “Ek Do Teen” (1953) with a similar story line and similar team. He in fact would make movies on the same storyline for the rest of his movie making career till 1970s, but would never be able to replicate the success of “Ek Thhi Ladki” (1949) again.

“Ek Do Teen” (1953) had Motilal, Meena Shorey, Iftekar, Yashodara Katju, Kaushlaya etc in it. As many as eight songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.

Here is the ninth and final song song from the movie. This song is sung by Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised on Motilal and Meena Shorey as a romantic “telephone” song. Their respective sidekicks are also visible in the picturisation whom I am unable to identify.

Aziz Kashmiri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

With this song, “Ek Do Teen” (1953) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Tumhe chupke se dil mein

Sidekick of Meena Shoorey is Yasodhra Katju.

Words need correction in last stanza :

karke raseela ‘ ishaara ‘ hamen
haule se kisne pukaara hamen
haule se kisne pukaara hamen
haan
apna banaake
‘ fitna ‘ uthaake
