“Qasam” (1947) was a Prem Pictures production. It was directed by M D Baig. The movie had Kanta Devi, Jamu Patel, Najma, Prem Adeeb, Raj Adeeb, Sabir, Shashibala etc in it. The songs of this movie are extremely rare and they were often considered as extinct by music lovers.

Sometimes we meet someone, and are so impressed by the personality and the interaction, that we remember that person lifelong. And sometimes fortune plays such games, that we meet someone we think is so wonderfully special, but then life never does bring the same person near us again. Maybe decades will pass, and we occasionally will think of that person, and remember the feeling of goodness we had. C RAMCHANDRA is generally considered a rebel amongst the composers of his times. He is the one, who, in the fifth decade of the 20th century itself brought full fledged western music variety in Hindi songs. At the same time he composed soft and extremely melodious songs based on various Ragaas also. He took Lata Mangeshkar to the pinnacle where she remained, later, on her own merit, for a long period. Very few composers have exhibited such variety in their music. It was a fact that many of his films were sold merely on the strength of his music.
