“Apradhi” (1949) was directed by Yashwant Pethekar for Prabhat Films. This movie had Ram Singh and a very young Madhubala in lead roles. A very good quality video of this movie is available on YT and the film itself is quite an interesting movie to watch, though I have watched only a small portion of the movie myself.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from the movie. This song is a melancholic song which is sung by Sitara Kanpuri and it is picturised as a stage cum radio song on Madhubala, who plays a radio artist in the movie. The picturisation shows this song being broadcast live and Ram Singh is also listening to this song. The song is obviously addressed to him. He listens to most of the song but then he cannot take it any longer and breaks his radio, and that is how the song comes to an end.
Amar Verma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sudhir Phadke.
