“Jab jab Phool Khile”(1965) was produced by Chetan K and directed by Suraj Prakash for Lime Light. The movie had Shashi Kapoor, Nanda, Kamal Kapoor, Agha, Shammi Aunty, Mridula Rani, Prayag Raj, Baby Farida aka Farida Dadi, Jatin Khanna(introducing), Tuntun, Shyam Kansare, Javed, B.B.Bhalla, Ashwini Kumar, Nikkey etc in it.
This movie had nine songs in it and all of them were quite popular songs. Eight songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
The ninth and final song is a very special song indeed. This song too was popular in its time but it has been forgotten with time. The reason why this song is forgotten is that this song was not included in the movie. Moreover, even its LP was not released. And it is quite surprising. When one listens to the song then one realises that this was as good a song as any and it could have become hugely popular if only this song was included in the movie or at least its record was issued.
Later, its 78 RPM records were issued. Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation still retains this record. Some person mentioned this fact in facebook that SLBC is the only place where this song could be heard because this song was not available in the movie. One announcer of SLBC read that comment and shared this information while playing this song.
Now this song is available on YT too.
