It was produced by P L Santoshi under the banner of ARVIND AND ANAND FILMS, BOMBAY. This movie had Rehana, Jawahar Kaul, Mumtaz Ali, Radha Kishan, Tiwari, Ram Singh, Srinath, Baba Raja, Abbas Rizvi, Harun, Deshraj, Shanta Kunwar, Indira, Neelam, Mona, Kamal Rani, Usha, Chanchal Kumari, Kalpana, V H Desai, Leela Mishra etc in it.
Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie. This song is sung by Lalita Deulkar and C Ramchandra. P L Santoshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.
Only the audio of this song is available. Going by the lyrics, one can guess that this song is picturised as a nautanki song on stage where a female plays the role of a male and lip syncs in Lalita Deulkar’s voice whereas a male (most likely Mumtaz Ali) plays the role of a female and lip syncs in C Ramchandra’s voice. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Lyrics
Ae ji munh kyun chhupaana
najar kyun bachaana
o teri meri preet ko jaane zamaana
ho jaane zamaana
dekho hogi ruswaai
jo aankh milaai
to laalaa ki lugaai mohe maaregi taana
ho maaregi taana
o tere liye laaya main heere ki nathhaniya
ho heere ki nathhaniya
ho gore gore gaalon pe
damke bahiniya(?)
ho damke bahiniya(?)
aji chhodo fuslaana
ye baaten banaana
to laalaa ki lugaai mohe maaregi taana
ho maaregi taana
ae ji munh kyun chhupaana
najar kyun bachaana
o teri meri preet ko jaane zamaana
ho jaane zamaana
aji khelo ji sambhal ke
preet ki baazi
ho preet ki baazi
jab miyaan bibi raazi
to kya karega kaazi
aji khelo ji sambhal ke
preet ki baazi
ho preet ki baazi
jab miyaan bibi raazi
to kya karega kaazi
to kya karega kaazi
aji chhodo ye bahaana
jab dil hai lagaana
main teri deewaani
main tera deewaana
ho teri meri preet ko jaane zamaana
ho jaane zamaana
ae ji munh kyun chhupaana
najar kyun bachaana
o teri meri preet ko jaane zamaana
ho jaane zamaana

Lalita Deulkar>>
She provided playback in Marathi films Prabhat’s Sant Janabai, Vitthal Rukmini, “Me Daru Sodali, and Suhasini. Songs like raani jaau sakhya re, shobha pahusakhyaa re became quite popular.
In 1949, she married Sudhir Phadke and gradually moved away from films. At their wedding, which took place at the Sahitya Parishad hall in Pune, the well-known singer Mohammed Rafi sang the traditional Mangalashatak in the traditional tune but with Hindi words. He had prepared extensively for this in advance.
