“Bedaag” (1965) was produced by Anoop Sharma and directed by R Bhattacharya. The movie had Manoj Kumar, Nanda, Lalita Pawar, Shashikala, Shobha Khote, Raj Mehra, Mumtaz, Kammo, Sonia Lee, Mehmood, Walter Lavarre, Gyani etc in it.

Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Roshan.

The song is picturised as a “twist” dance song which was quite a popular western dance in India. The song is picturised on Shashikala and several others shown “twisting” in this song. One can also see Ted Lyons and his cubs in the picturisation.

Song-Nikolaasa nikolaasa mere sang jhoom le zara sa (Bedaag)(1965) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Roshan
Chorus

Lyrics

nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa
hey
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa
hai aaj ka din apna
kal ka din hai sapna
dil khol ke pee aur jhoom ke jee
kyun rehta hai pyaasa
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

hey
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

nikolaasa nikolaasa

laralalarala
laralalarala

hahaha

jawaani chaar din
haa
na beete pyaar bin
jawaani chaar din
oho
na beete pyaar bin
haha
tu dil ko haar kar
kisi se pyaar kar
o o o
kisi se pyaar kar
duniya hai afsaana
kal ko na pachhtaana
dil khol ke pee aur jhoom ke jee
kyun rahta hai pyaasa
nikolasha nikolasha
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

hey ae ae
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

nikolaasa nikolaasa

suhaani raat hai
haaye
jawaani saath hai ae
suhaani raat hai
o o
jawaani saath hai
aa haa
khushi ka jaam le
kisi ka naam le
hey
kisi na naam le tu ban ke deewaana
le pyaar ka paimaana
dil khol ke pee aur jhoom ke jee
kyun rahta hai pyaasa
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

hey ae
nikolaasa nikolaasa
mere sang jhoom le zara sa

nikolaasa nikolaasa
