“Dil Ki Raahen” (1973) was produced by Majjeda Movies and it was directed by B R Ishara. The movie had Rakesh Pandey, Rehana Sultan, Sulochana, Johny Whisky, Dilip Dutt, Amrit Lakhanpal, Anwar Ali, Amal sen, Phatik Majumdar, Nisha, Manhar Desai etc. in it.
There were five songs in the movie. Except one Lata song (rasm e ulfat ko nibhaayen to nibhaayen kaise), which went on to become a timeless classic, other songs from the movie failed to get popular.
Four songs from the movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth and final song from “Dil Ki Raahen”(1973) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Manna Dey. Naqsh Llayalpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.
Only the audio of this song is available. In case this song was picturised, it had to be on Rakesh Pandey, the hero of this movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this sad “drunkard” song.
