This mythological movie had Mina Kumari, Mahipal, Niranjan Sharma, Shanta Kunwar, S N tripathi, Vimal, Dalpat, H Prakash, Kanta Kumari, Dhuliya, Amarnath, Leela Kumari, shree Bhagwan, Agha Shapur, Rajni, Kamal Kumar, Vijay Kumar etc in it.

This forgotten movie had eight forgotten songs in it. Hardly any details about these songs are available.

Here is the first song from “Hanuman Paataal Vijay”(1951) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. S N Tripathi is the music ditrector. HFGK mentions that there were three lyricists in this movie but the distribution of songs among them is not known. According to S N Tripathi, this song was probably penned by Anjum Jaipuri. Let us clutch at straws and credit this song to Anjum Jaipuri accordingly.

Only the audio of this rare song is available.

With this song, “Hanuman Paataal Vijay”(1951) makes its debut in the blog.

Song-Kyun roothh gaye mujhse (Hanuman Paataal Vijay)(1951) Singer-Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Anjum Jaipuri, MD-S N Tripathi

Lyrics

kyun roothh gaye mujhse
kyun roothh gaye
kyun roothh gaye mujhse
kya maine bigaada
bhagwaan tumne chheen liya
mera sahaara
kyun roothh gaye
kyun roothh gaye mujhse
kya maine bigaada
bhagwaan tumne chheen liya
mera sahaara
kyun roothh gaye

aashaaon ke deepak ki jyot tumne bujha di
kyun preet ki nagri mein meri aag laga di
kuchh sun na sake
maine tumhen laakh pukaara
kuchh sun na sake
maine tumhen laakh pukaara
kyun roothh gaye mujhse
kya maine bigaada
bhagwaan tumne chheen liya
mera sahaara
kyun roothh gaye

vipdaa ki ghataaon ne mujhe gher liya hai
bhagwaan mere tumne bhi munh pher liya hai
is ghor andhere mein nahin milta kinaara
is ghor andhere mein nahin milta kinaara
kyun rooth gaye mujhse
kya maine bigaada
bhagwaan tumne chheen liya
mera sahaara
kyun roothh gaye

saansen bichhad rahi hain
ek baar to aao
maaro ya jilaao mujhe
mukhda to dikhaao
anyaay ke haathhon se mujhe
aa ke bachaao
aa ke bachaao
bhagwaan bachaao
