“Saajan Ka Ghar”(1948) was directed by Shori Daulatwi for Navyug Chitrapat, Bombay. This movie had Jairaj, Ranjana, Kusum Deshpande, Basant Thengdi, Vishnu Mehrotra, Uma Dutt, Latifa Khanam etc in it.

This obscure movie had nine obscure songs in it. One song from the movie has been discussed in the past.

Here is the second song from “Saajan Ka Ghar”(1948) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Sitara Bai. Saraswati Kumar Deepak is the lyricist. Music is composed by K S Sagar.

Only the audio of this song is available. Sitarabai had sung in eight (out of nine) songs in the movie, so my guess is that she had sung for the leading lady who could be Ranjana. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Wo aaye hamaari gali aaye chupke chupke(Saajan Ka Ghar)(1948) Singer-Sitarabai Kanpuri, Lyrics-Saraswati Kumar Deepak, MD-K S Sagar

Lyrics

wo aaye
wo aaye
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke
more nainon se
more nainon se
more nainon se nainaa milaaye
chupke chupke
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke

pyaari pyaari umangen
naachen gaayen
man mein aen
pyaari pyaari umangen
naachen gaayen
man mein
bhole bhaale pakheroo
raas rachaayen
ban mein
bhole bhaale pakheroo
raas rachaayen
ban mein
peepal ki ghani chhhaaon mein
thhandi thhandi hawaaon mein
mehki mehki fizaaon mein aen
mere dil ka
mere dil ka
mere dil ka kanwal muskaaye chupke chupke
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke

aasha ke sitaare
laaye hain raat suhaani ee
aasha ke sitaare
laaye hain raat suhaani ee
nainon ke mahal mein
roothhi hai nindiya raani
nainon ke mahal mein
roothhi hai nindiya raani
aankhon mein khumaari hai
teri intazaari hai
badi bekaraari hai
dil haathhon se
dil haathhon se
dil haathhon se
niklaa jaaye chupke chupke
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke
more nainon se
more nainon se
more nainon se nainaa milaaye
chupke chupke
wo aaye
hamaari gali aaye
chupke chupke
