“Banwaasi”(1948) was produced by V Shantaram and directed by Kumar Chandrshekhar for Rajkamal Kala Mandir, Bombay. The movie had Shobha Rani, Sushant, Gulab, Mahipal, Amina, Gyani, Nana, Madgulkar, Dilip Kumar, Vishwas, Umakant Sharma, Amar Sharma, Abhyankar, Maruti Rao etc in it.
This movie had four songs in it according to HFGK. One song has been covered in the past.
Here is the second song from “Banwaasi”(1948) to appear in the blog. HFGK is silent about the singer of this song. But the uploader of the song mentions Ankush and chorus as the singer. I wonder whether Ankush is some singer or the character in the movie who lip syncs this song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this inspirational song.

The voice resembles that of Shailesh Mukherjee when compared with his song https://atulsongaday.me/2009/07/24/dekh-chaand-ki-or/ from ‘Aag’ (1948).
