What a bouquet of dancers! I have seen the film back in the day when it was playing in cinema houses. There was a huge rush of crowds to see it. But, alas, all I remember is the big song, raaz ki baat keh doon to. Pran was the big draw of the film. His style had all the viewers whistling and clapping.
How wonderful of you to draw attention to the uniqueness of the song. I don’t think such a use of another song has ever been done. Though in many RK films I have heard tunes of songs from other films, but there the MD was the same and also the film company.
I am hoping you will no longer suffer health complications. What you say about the feet is on point. I always get comfortable shoes and pay attention to my feet. I even wash my sneakers often as they can carry bacteria, being laced up.

Really a unique song. Something that Nasir Hussain had a habit of dishing out. Four songs at a time etc
But this is five in one. What an idea.
Take care of yourself and sharwariji- your pillar of strength.
And you are one Atulite whose time zone is ahead of the others. So you should begin the celebrations tomorrow.

Thanks for the post.Yes, It is an unusual dance number with multiple dancers at different dance bars. The tune is typical of 70’s when old timers ( MD’s) slowly faded. I have not heard this song before.

Really appreciate that still managed to write a post, inspite of the surgery and pain. Shows how much you care for the blog and Atulites.
Totally enjoyed watching this song. It’s a five-in-one – never seen one like this before. Catchy tune too. I remember seeing this movie as a kid – it was quite a hit, I think. I vaguely remember Pran being surrounded by the police early on, but escaping. Then being in disguise. Later in the film we have “raaz ki baat keh doon to” to suggest blowing his cover. Itna yaad hai. 🙂

Dear Satyajit ji,
Really very creditable that you have posted this rare song braving your health condition and the associated physical and psychological stresses.
While watching the movie in the hall, it never occurred to me that it was a unique situation conceived and contrived by the makers of the film, mainly the writer and the director employing the 5 popular dancers of that time.
Thank you very much for bringing it to the attention of ASAD and HFM lovers.

@Satyajit ji – first of all my apologies for the delay in commenting on this post. Actually I had read the post the same day, but since I do not remember this song I thought I would watch the song before I comment on the post, however other things in between got over it.
Now, for me the movie ‘Dharma’ means Pran Saab and ‘raaz ki baat kehdoon to …’, only these two memories and nostalgia of this qawwali is what I have in my mind and permanently there all over these years.
I vaguely remember to have watch this movie with my father when I must be around five.
And I don’t remember to have watched this movie again either in Theater or TV.
Once again thanks for the post, this rare song and interesting facts about it …!!! ( and I hope you forgive me for my late response)

Despite your pain and the inabilities, you have written this post. It is highly creditable.
I am happy that your thoughts about the Blog and the members of our group are the same as all of us. We truly feel so much about each others. Actually, it is a rare thing ( adding to your two rare things in your post today). It is said that it is difficult to grow friendship,once you are around 40 years, but here all of us have belied this rule and have become friends. Thanks to this great Blog.
