“Aanchal Ke Phool”(1968) was directed by Karunesh Thakur for MRS Film production, Bombay. The movie had Sajjan, Kamini Kaushal, Jeevan, Chand Usmani, Sunder, Mohan Choti,Namrata, Jayant, Ulhas, Jagdish Raj etc. in it.

This boring tearjerker movie with an uninteresting story line had four songs in it. Two songs have been covered in the blog.

Here is the third song from “Aanchal Ke Phool”(1968) to appear in the blog. This song is a sad lullaby song. It is sung by Krishna Kalle. Naqsh llayalpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ved Sethi.

The song is picturised on Kamini Kaushal and on kids that I am unable to identify. Sajjan is also visible playing the hapless father. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.

Lyrics

hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm
soyi hai dulhan raat ki
maathe chanda sajaaye
tu bhi soja laadli
tohe mamta sulaaye
soyi hai dulhan raat ki
maathe chanda sajaaye

oonghe pawan
soye suman
daali ke aanchal se lipti hui
har kali so gayi
galiyon ka shor khaamosh hai
raahon ke seene pe chal chal ke
ab zindagi so gayi
moond le palken
do ghadi
nindiya roothh na jaaye
tu bhi soja laadli
tohe mamta sulaaye

ye soch le
raani tujhe
chaandi ka palna
kahaan de sakegi gareebi meri
tere liye
ye god hai
soja ke sapnon mein
le jaaye tujhko
pari neend ki
aansoo hain poori nain ki
naina kyun chhalkaaye
tu bhi soja laadli
tohe mamta sulaaye

aansu dhale deepak jale
jeevan ke andhiyaare aangan mein
phir bhi andhera hai kyun
ye raaz hum poonchhen kise
apni hi aankhon se ojhal khushi ka sawera hai kyun
soye hain bhagwan chain se
kaise koi jagaaye
tu bhi soja laadli
tohe mamta sulaaye
hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm
soyi hai dulhan raat ki
maathe chanda sajaaye
hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm
