Blog Day :

5066 Post No. : 16981

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Sati Vaishalini-1959’.

‘Sati Vaishalini-1959’ was directed by Sadhu Singh for ‘Rati Chitra, Mumbai’. It was produced by P.N. Rangeen.

It had Trilok Kapoor, Sulochana, Lalita Pawar, Ratnamala, Krishnakumari, Niranjan Sharma, Nand Kishore, Tiwari, Shyam, Hari, Krishna Kumar, Roshanlal, and others. Heeralal, Sheela Kashmiri, Savita Chatterjee, Jyoti, Niranjan Tiwari, and Kamal Kapoor had made in guest appearances in this movie.

HFGK Vol-III (1951-1960) mentions in its foot note on this movie page that this movie was also known as ‘Janam Janam Ka Naata’. HFGK also mentions that the story of this movie was based on ‘Markandeya Puraan’.

This movie was passed by Censor Board on 19.11.1959.

‘Sati Vaishalini’ had eight songs written by Bharat Vyas. Music for this movie was composed by Premnath. (As mentioned by Atul ji while presenting the first song from this movie on the blog, this Premnath is different from the actor of the same name).

This movie had made its debut on the blog on 15.10.2016 with its song ‘jab tak khadaa himaalay hai… amar rahegi is jag mein’. think This was the only song from this movie that was available for posting those days. Now music enthusiasts have uploaded one more song from this movie which we will be listening to today.

Let us have a look at the list of songs of this movie.

SNo Song Title Singer/s Posted On
01 Jab tak khadaa himaalay… amar rahegi is jag mein Mohd Rafi, chorus 15.10.2016
02 Aaja re aaja re… kaho ji kaun boley … Asha Bhonsle, Rafi
03 Tu chaahe to raat… hey gori maat sun… Asha Bhonsle, chorus
04 Arey vidhaata-2, mere bhaag mein toone kya likhaa Asha Bhonsle
05 Chaahe bhale chanda tale… ya naata janam janam ka Asha Bhonsle
06 Paaon mein kaante bichhe…pati mere shyam pati mere raam Asha Bhonsle
07 Ek sati sat ke dagar par chal padi. pi se milne ki chaah hai Manna Dey
08 Ghiri ghataayein ghanghor… rakshaa-2, kar bhagwaan Asha Bhonsle, chorus

Today’s song is ‘chaahe log kare apmaan … ye hai naata janam janam ka’. I guess that that today’s song is the ‘fifth’ song in chronological order in the movie.

This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Lyrics for today’s song are by Bharat Vyas and music is composed by Premnath.

Tune of this song is reminiscent of some other song, but I am not able to recall that song as of now.

Only audio of the song is available. I request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie and it’s songs.

Let us listen to the song now.

Song-Chaahe log karen apmaan (Sati Vaishalini)(1959) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Bharat Vyas, MD-Premnath (MD)

Lyrics

chaahe log karen apmaan
ho chaahe dushman bane jahaan
magar mere haathhon ne pakdaa haathh
jis albele balam ka
kabhi chhoote nahin pyaar
kabhi toote nahin saath
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
chaahe log karen apmaan

jinki chhabi mere ae
man ko suhaati ee
man ko suhaati
wo mere deepak
main unki baati ee ee
wo mere deepak
main unki baati
mere man mein jinka dhyaan
mere man mein jinka dhyaan
jagat mein wohi mere bhagwaan
ke jinke aage padaa sharmaaye
jhilmil chandaa poonam ka
kabhi chhoote nahin pyaar
kabhi toote nahin saath
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
chaahe log karen apmaan

mel hamaaraa jyun bijlee baadal
bijlee baadal
jaise ho ankhiyaan
ankhiyon mein kaajal
jaise ho ankhiyaan
ankhiyon mein kaajal
mere jhoome tan man praan
mere jhoome tan man praan
milaa maa tera amar vardaan
ke bujh naa paayega yamraaja se bhi
ye diyaa dharam ka
kabhi chhoote nahin pyaar
kabhi toote nahin saath
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
chaahe log karen apmaan
ho chaahe dushman bane jahaan
magar mere haathhon ne pakdaa
haathh
jis albele balam ka
kabhi chhoote nahin pyaar
kabhi toote nahin saath
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
ye hai naataa janam janam ka
