I have mentioned in several posts earlier that this year ‘2022’ is a special year for the ‘year 1972’ 😊, the year ‘1972’ will be ‘fifty years old’ at the end of ‘2022’.
In this year we will be specially focusing on the year ‘1972’ and time to time will enjoy songs with some interesting details about the movie and /or the artistes.
In the beginning of this year, we started by introducing movies of ‘1972’ that were so far missing from the blog.
Thereafter we started adding the second song to movies of ‘1972’ that were represented with one one song in the blog.
Today’s movie is one such movie which was introduced on the blog on 02.04.2015. However, that remains the only song from this movie posted on the blog so far.
This movie is ‘Hari Darshan’.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 24.08.1972 and that way it will soon complete its fifty years of release within next two months now.
‘Hari Darshan-1972’ was directed by Chandrakant for ‘Joy Films, Bombay’. The star cast of this movie includes Randhawa, B. Saroja Devi, Abhi Bhattacharya, Shahu Modak, Asit Sen, Sujata, Kalpana Deewan, Padma Rani, Sanjana, Sadhna Khote, Sarla, Anwari, Rekha Chouhan, Babu Raje, Himmat Singh Chouhan, Ram Rasila, Satyajit, Jr. Mehmood, Baby Rupa, and others. Dara Singh, Jayashree Gadkar, Arvind Trivedi in special appearance.
This movie has ten songs. They were all written by Kavi Pradeep and the music was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji.
One song from this movie has been posted on the blog on 02.04.2015. While sharing the first song from this movie on the blog I had mentioned that the songs from this movie used to be played frequently on the loudspeakers and radio during festivals when I was in the growing up stage. I am familiar with few songs of this movie and the song being presented today is among them.
Today’s song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Master Satyajeet lip syncs the song on screen. We can see Junior Mehmood, and many other artists present in the picturisation of this song.
As mentioned above lyrics for today’s song were penned by Kavi Pradeep and music is composed by Kalyanji-Anandji.
In the year of the movie under discussion today i.e., the year of ‘1972’ music composers Kalyanji-Anandji composed music for twelve (12) movies.

From the above table we can see that so far only three out of the twelve movies (viz. ‘Joroo Ka Ghulaam’, ‘Kangan’, and ‘Victoria No.203’) where music was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji in the year 1972, have been YIPPEED on the blog.
So, we still have a long way to go to bring all the songs of the above remaining movies of 1972 on the blog.
