Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 128

This date ten years back viz 13 November 2012 was the festival of Deepaawali. Six songs, all deepawali related, were covered on that day, culminating in the 7000th post of the blog that day.

Two non film songs and four film songs were covered on that date ten years ago. All the four movies whose songs were covered on that day are still unYIPPEED and so all of them are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today on 13 november 2022.
“Maharana Pratap”(1946) was one of the movies.
“Maharana Pratap”(1946) was produced and directed by Jayant Desai for Jayant Desai productions, Bombay. The movie had Khursheed Bano, Ishwarlal, Mubarak, D.S.Salvi,Sati Devi, Kesar Bai, Noorjahan, Rewa Shankar,Bhgwandas, Kantilal, Gharpure,Inayat, Raja Joshi, Peer Jaan, S.Afzal, B.Mishra etc in it.
The movie had ten songs in it. One song has been covered and that song was covered ten years ago. After exactly ten years later, here is the second song from
“Maharana Pratap”(1946) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Khursheed Bano. Swami Ramanand is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ram Ganguly.
Only audio of the song is available. It is clear that the song was picturised on Khursheed Bano herself.
