Today’s song is from the ‘1973’ movie ‘Phir Aayaa Toofaan’. It was directed by B.J. Patel for ‘People Pictures, Bombay’.

‘Phir Aaya Toofaan’ was produced by Dhanpatrai.

I do not remember to have heard about this movie earlier or I have watched it in my child hood. This seems to be lesser known movie. But this movie is available on internet and those interested can watch it there.

The cast of this movie included Dara Singh, Madhu Malini, Anand Chani, Madhu Malandhar, Satyadeep, Shery, Surya Kumar, Gul Hamid, Rekha Chauhan, Radhabai, R.P. Sharma, Kamal, Ajit, Rahi, Gil, Neela, Mahendra Zaveri, B.M. Vyas, Miss Reeta, Master Virendra, Randhawa, Master Amrik Randhawa, Harbhajan Singh, Saudagar Singh, Lucky Ram and others.

Story and screenplay of this movie was written by T. Rebello. And dialogues of this movie were written by G. Sethuraman.
Editing of this movie was done by Baburao Barodekar.

This movie was passed by Censor Board on 17.09.1973.

This movie has four songs written by Abhilash. Music of this movie was composed by Robin Bannerjee.

As per HFGK (Vol-V) Suman Kalyanpur, Krishna Kalle, Bela Sawer and Robin Bannerjee had given their voices to the songs in this movie. (However the titles of the movie mention only the names of Suman Kalyanpur and Krishna Kalle in the playback section).

Following is the list of songs in this movie (as mentioned on this movie-page in HFGK Vol-V (1971-1980)).

S.No. Song Title Singer/s
01 Chhoti mirach badi tez balma Bela Sawer
02 Lara…ye nasha kya hua hai Krishna Kalle, Robin Bannerjee
03 Ghadi do ghadi ki khushi maangte hain Suman Kalyanpur
04 Duniya ne hamko diya har mod pe dhokha Suman Kalyanpur

Today’s song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur. I am unable to identify the actress performing on this song (is it Madhu? Or Rekha Chauhan?). This song is picturised as a ‘villian’s den’ song where Sheri has captured Dara Singh and tied him there with a pillar. 🙂
Also seen in the picturisation of this song is Madhu Malini, B.M.Vyas and many others.

Lyrics for this song are by Abhilash and music is composed by Robin Bannerjee.

With this song the movie ‘Phir Aaya Toofaan-1973’ makes its debut on the blog.

Let us enjoy the song now…

Song-Duniya ne humko kya diya har mod pe dhhokha (Phir Aaya Toofaan)(1973) Singer-Suman Kalyanpur, Lyrics-Abhilash, MD-Robin Bannerjee

Lyrics

duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha aa
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o ham bhi kisise kam nahin
duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha aa
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o
ham bhi kisise kam nahin

poore karenge ab to yaaron
is dil ke armaan
chhaa jaayenge ae is duniya pe
ban ke hum toofaan
hoti jaayegi raste ki
har mushqil aasaan
duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha aa
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o
ham bhi kisise kam nahin

jhuk jaati hai duniya gar ho
koyi jhukaanewaalaa
deep jalaaye aandhi mein bhi
deep jalaanewaalaa
karta hai tadbeer apni
taqdeer banaanewaalaa
duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha aa
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o
ham bhi kisi se kam nahin

karke ham ne
dekh liya hai
jag mein pyaar nahin hai
sab ke dil mein
chor chhupaa hai
koyi yaar nahin hai
jisko apnaa samjhe ham ye
wo sansaar nahin hai
duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o
ham bhi kisise kam nahin
duniya ne hamko kya diya
har mod pe dhokha
ik din ham bhi de denge
is duniya ko jhatkaa
ho o
ham bhi kisi se kam nahin

Hi Avinash Ji, Great to see this movie making an entry on this blog!

But believe you me, I saw this movie on the day of its release. There was another good movie which was released on the same day. We couldn’t get tickets to that movie so we went for this movie.

I don’t remember anything about this movie, but I surely do remember seeing this one in my movie watching frenzy!!!

Have a good one!!

Thanks Satyajit ji for your comments. It is always nice to read your comments on the songs from ‘seventies’ or should I say specifically of the ‘early seventies’ 🙂
Its my pleasure that this song take you back to those days of watching movies.
I hope you will enjoy more of the coming posts under this series of ‘missing movies from the seventies’.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts/memories here.
Regards,

Avinash
