Three movies which were based on ‘Dhruv Kumar’ or ‘Bhakta Dhruv are already introduced in the blog in the past. . They are ‘Bhakta Dhruv-1947’, ‘Bhakta Dhruv-1957’ and ‘Bhakta Dhruv Kumar-1964’.
There are two more titles on ‘Dhruv Kumar’ one from the ‘thirties’ and one from the ‘seventies’. I guess that the songs for the movie from the ‘thirties’ are not available. And the movie from the ‘seventies’ can be expected to find representation on the blog in future.
Today, for this presentation we will have a song from the ‘1957’ movie ‘Bhakta Dhruv’.
“Bhakta Dhruva-1957” was directed by Gunjaal for ‘Ashok Pictures’. It was produced by R.L. Arora.
It had Sulochana, Shahu Modak, Jeevan, Vinod Kumar, Bimla, Sundar, Gulaab, Shammi, Ramesh Kapoor, Amar, Kesho and others. Mala Sinha, Trilok Kapoor, Anant Kumar, Badri Prasad, Ramesh Sinha and Kanchanmala had guest appearance in this movie.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 18.10.1957.
