With this post we add one more movie from the year ‘1973’ on the blog which was so far missing from the blog.
This movie is ‘Bindiyaa Aur Bandook-1973’. It seems to be one of the lesser known movies of its time to me.
‘Bindiyaa Aur Bandook’ was directed by Shibu Mitra for ‘Apollo International.’ It was produced by Joginder Singh (Shelly) the actor (hope I am correct).
It has Kiran Kumar, Asha Sachdev, Laxmi Chhaya, Raza Murad, and Joginder. They were supported by Rajan Haksar, Randhir, Ram Mohan, Kundan, V. Gopal, Keshto Mukherjee, Tun Tun, Kirti Behl, Uma Dhawan, Moolchand, Purshottam, Anwari, Matti, Shatrujeet, Mahendra, Balwant, Gian Singh, D.S. Rana, Kishan, Bijendra, Yogesh Chhabra, Paintal, Raju, Meher Singh, Inder, Nishan Singh, Sultan Nazir, Behari, Master Devjeet and Ibrahim.
Bharat Bhushan, Som Dutt and Helen had a guest appearance in this movie.
Story of this movie was written by Prem Arora and dialogues of this were written by Rahi Masoom Raza. Shibu Mitra the director of this movie also wrote the screenplay of this movie. Editing of this movie was done by P.S. Wagle.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 04.06.1973.
‘Bindiyaa Aur Bandook’ has four songs all written by Gulshan Bawra. All the songs are solo songs sung by Asha Bhonsle only.
Music for this movie was composed by Sonik-Omi.

When I listened to this song I found it a very nice song and it sounded a little familiar. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle in a very mesmerizing voice and sounds different.
This song grows upon the listener if it listened to a few times.
