‘Veer Chhatrasaal-1971’ was directed by Harsukh Bhatt for Shree Ganesh Films, Bombay. It was a ‘Historical’ genre film based on the life of the Great Warrior of Bundela Maharaj Chhatrasaal (4 May-1649 – 20 December 1731), who established his own kingdom ‘Bundelkhand’.
‘Veer Chhatrasaal-1971’ had Sohrab Modi, Ajit, Rajshree (South), Jeevan, Jagirdar, Jayshree T, Sunder, Lalita Pawar, Sulochana Chhaterjee, Shyam Kumar, Neelam, Bhardwaj, Arvind Pandya, Ramsingh, Sheri Mohan, Anand Tiwari, Dave, ShreeBhagwan, Habib, Khurshid Khanna, Wajid Khan, Rana, Devchand, Master Ratan.
The film was passed by Censor Board on 22.03.1971.
‘Veer Chhatrasaal-1971’ has five songs in it. Three songs were penned by Balkavi Bairagi and one each by Neeraj and Maha Kavi Bhushan .
The music for this film was composed by S.N.Tripathi. Manna Dey and Suman Kalyanpur gave their voices to the songs of this film.
As per HFGK singer for one song ‘indra jimi jambh par’ is not mentioned while Suman Kalyanpur sang three solos and Manna Dey sang one song.
One song from this movie has been posted earlier on the blog on 02.05.2016. This song was an ‘inspirational song’ sung by Manna Dey. Lyrics for this song were written by Balkavi Bairagi.
Today I present the second song from this movie which is written by Neeraj and composed by S.N. Tripathi.
The song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur and is a ‘missing the beloved’ category song. Actress Rajshree (south) is lip-syncing this song on screen (as confirmed by Prakashchandra Udupa). We can see a portrait of Sohrab Modi present there.
