“Commander”(1959) was produced by M Usman Nadiadwala and directed by Kedar Kapoor for Mehar movies, Bombay. The movie had Ranjan, Nigar, Kumkum, Rammohan, Helen, Chamanpuri, Manjeet, Ramesh Tiwari, Kailash Kumari, Rana, Saroj, Kripal, Gaurang, Maruti, Tiwari etc in it. Kamal Kapoor had made a guest appearance in the movie.
“Commander”(1959) had eight songs in it. Four songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the fifth song from thge movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Sarshar Sailaani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
When I listened to this song, it sounded like an archtypical club dance song picturised on Helen. when I checked the star cast, the name of Helen was very much there !
Only audio of the song is available so I need confirmation or otherwise from knowledgeable readers about this being a Helen dance song or not.
