# Bhoole-Bisre Geet # (Remembrance Day- Balkavi Bairagi)

Today 13th May’2023 is the fifth ‘Remembrance Anniversary’ of writer-poet-lyricist Balkavi Bairagi.
He was born on 10th February’1931 and he passed away on 13th May’2018.
As a tribute to him ,I am presenting a song penned by him for the movie ‘Pal Do Pal Kaa Saath-1978’.
‘Pal Do Pal Ka Saath-1978’ was directed by B.R. Ishara for ‘Kaveri Films, Bombay’.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 07.04.1978.
It had Shekhar Kapoor, Rama Vij, Shamli (New Discovery), and Asit Sen, Paintal, Johny Whisky, Aarti, Tiger, Mishri Lal, Mohammad Ali, Amal Sen, Narayan Gwalani, Hameed, Sitaram, Jasbir, Prakash Joshi, Vijay Nangia, Bhaiyalal Sharma, Kashi Prasad Chaurasia and others.
This movie had four songs, where Naqsh Lyallpuri, Yogesh, Balkavi Bairagi and Dev Kohli penned one song each. Music for this movie was composed by Shyam Saagar.
This movie made its debut on the blog on 22.09.2014 when its’ song ‘chupke se peechhe se aa ke’ sung by Rafi Saab was presented by our Respected Shri Sudhir ji. The lyricist for this song is Dev Kohli.
The second song from this movie was presented on the blog on 26.04.2018. It was ‘anuraagi man sab kuchh sah le’ sung by Mukesh and penned by Yogesh.
Today, after a gap of more than five years we present the third song from this movie on the blog.
As mentioned above the lyricist for this song is Balkavi Bairagi.
Asha Bhonsle is the singer and music is composed by Shyam Sagar.

Today 13th May’2023 happens to be the ‘seventy-seventh’ birthday of Shri Bishwanath Chatterjee who compiled the Geet Kosh Vol-V (1971-1980) and co-authored other Geet Kosh with Shri Hamraaz ji and wrote books on Khayyam, Kishore Kumar, R.D. Burman, Vasant Desai and Sudhir Phadke with Shri Vishwas Nerurkar.
We take this opportunity to wish him a ‘very happy birthday’ and wish him a healthy and peaceful life ahead.
