“Aawaaz”(1942) was produced by Dadasaheb Torne and directed by Rafique Razvi for Saraswati Cinetone, Poona. The movie had Maya Bannerji, Wasti, Swarnlata, Danve, Kailash, Shantabai, Baby Anwari etc in it.
“Aawaaz”(1942) had 10 by now obscure songs in it. They were penned by Ramesh Gupta and Kaabil Amritsari, but distribution of songs among them is not known. Likewise, there were two music directors who composed these songs , namely K C Verma and Sadashiv Neverekar. Distribution of songs between them is not known.
One song has been covered in the past. Here is the second song from “Aawaaz”(1942) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rajkumari.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the gap/ suggest corrections in the loyrics wherever applicable.
