“Andhon Ki Duniya-1947” was directed by Keshav Rao Daate for ‘Rajkamal Kalamandir Ltd.’. It had Leela Chitnis, Manmohan Krishna, Munawwar Sultana, Mahipal, Professor Hudlikar, Vikas, Gulab, Parshuram and others. Geet Kosh lists ten songs for this movie which are written by Behzad Lucknowi, Deewan Sharar, and Khumar. Music for this movie was composed by Vasant Desai.
In the information provided in HFGK Vol-II (1941-1950) for this movie page lyricist’s name for one song is not mentioned. (And the singer’s name for only two songs has been provided on the movie page i.e. song no.1 &2. But for song number one the correct names are again mentioned in the ‘Corrigenda’.).
In the ‘addenda’ HFGK has mentioned the singers’ name for song no.4, 5, 8, 10, 6, 7 and 9 which I have provided in the table below. For song no.4 the singer’s name seems to be mentioned incorrectly as Zohrabai Ambalewali. The audio links of this song mention the singers’ name as Shamshad Begum and Asha Bhonsle.
(On listening to the song I guess there is only one singer’s voice in this song and that should be Shamshad Begum.)

Ever since I have become associated with this blog I got to listen and share many song sung by Zohrabai Ambalewali and these include many songs which are rarely heard or were not popular songs of its time. However most of these songs included high class poetry and are very meaningful songs. Today’s song is also one such song which has nice verses.
