I have mentioned repeatedly that “Goonj Uthe Shehnaai” had an endless supply of nice songs. I have already posted quite a few ( I have lost count) and there are still songs from this movie that are yet to be posted.

Laxmikant Pyarelal had dabbled into Goan folk music while composing music for “Bobby”. That “Bobby” song was “Na maangoon sona chaandi, na maangoon heera moti”. They used the same tune in another song of that era, viz “Daaru ki bottle mein saahab paani bharta hai” from an Amitabh Bachchan movie called Majboor.
