When Helen appears on the screen, a very automatic thought that crosses the mind is – the playback singer will be Asha Bhosle. Such is the association between the two, that across the decades, most of the Helen dance songs have been crooned by Asha ji. But yes, there are other playback singers also that have sung for Helen on screen, and it will be an interesting category by itself – ‘non Asha Bhosle songs of Helen’. As I was searching for a special song for this post, it is completely by chance that I came across this wonderful peppy number, a Helen mujra song, sung by Usha Timothy.
