There have been several songs sung by Kishore Kumar under the music direction of Hemant Kumar. But here is a song where the roles are reversed. Here it is Hemant Kumar singing under the music direction of Kishore Kumar !

Till a few hours ago,I was not aware of any songs where Madan Mohan used the voice of Hemant Kumar. Not any longer. I have now discoverd a song where Hemant Kumar indeed sings under the music direction of Madan Mohan.

“Champaakali” (1957) is a movie starring Bharat Bhushan, Suchitra Sen, Shubha Khote etc. This movie is known for some Hemant Kumar songs including the well known song Chhup gaya koyi re door se pukaar ke. I have in fact discussed as many as three songs from this movie in the past.

The 1975 blockbuster movie “Sholay” needs no introduction, but few people are aware that a movie of the same name was also made in 1953. This movie “Shole” (1953) had Ashok Kumar ,Beena Rai ,Poornima ,Manmohan Krishna ,Jeewan ,Mirza Musharraf,Baby Naaz etc in it.

“Naya Sansaar” (1959) is quite an obscure movie. Few people seem to be aware of any details about the cast of this movie. This appears to be a B grade movie that failed at the box office.

Jhoom jhoom kar chali akeli

“Taj”(1956) had virtually the same team as “Naagin” (1954). The makers of “Taj” (1956) obviously hoped to replicate the commercial success of “Naagin” 91954) by doing that. I am not sure how much of a commercial success “Taj” (1956) was. It was certainly nowhere close to “Naagin” (1954), that is for sure.
