“Sunayna” (1979) was a Rajshree Productions movie. It was produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Hiren Nag. The story of the movie was inspired from Charlie Chaplin’s “City lights” (1931). I must say that I quite loved watching the movie in a then newly built mini sized movie hall in Ranchi in 1979. One of the lasting impressions of this movie in my mind include the extremely hummable title song viz. Sunayna sunayna..aaj in nazaaron ko tum dekho aur main trumhe dekhte huye dekhoon. The other lasting impression was Jagdeep playing a fellow jailbird of Naseeruddin Shah who tries to help Naseeruddin Shah escape out of jail. Instead of Naseeruddin Shah, Jagdeep finds himself out of the jail. And from then onwards Jagdeep tries very hard to go back inside the jail, but to no avail. 🙂

“Jaal” (1952) was a Filmarts production movie. It was directed by Guru Dutt. The movie had Dev Anand, Geeta Bali, Ram Singh, Johny Walker, Rashid Khan, K N Singh, Purnima, Krishna Kumari etc in it.

“Ganga Ki Saugandh” (1978) was Sultan Ahmad production. It had Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Prana, Amjad Khan, I S Johar, Bindu, Anju Mahendru etc in it.

“Himalay Se Ooncha” (1975) was produced by Babboo Mehta and directed by B S Thapa. The movie had Sunil Dutt and Mallika Sarabhai in lead roles. Ranjeet, Rakesh Pandey, Achala Sachdev etc were in it as well.
