#The Decade of Sixties – 1961 – 1970 #
———————————————————————

Today’s song is from the 1962 movie ‘Rashtraveer Shivajee’. I had come across this song recently when I was presenting patriotic songs during Republic Day celebrations. I was looking for songs that praise our national heroes, freedom fighters, and the many unsung heroes who fought the battle for freedom. Before the Britishers our country was invaded by various alien rulers. These rulers tried to dominate the native people by crossing all limits of cruelty, killing them, making them slaves, by converting their faith and religion. However, from time to time there have been courageous and brave sons and daughters of this land who fought to protect the native people of this country. They included rulers from various regions as well as people like Shivaji who created their own kingdom- or ‘Hindavee Swaraajya’ and gave fierce fights to rulers like Moghuls.

Today’s song is from the Mythological film Shiv Kanya-1954.

Atulites know very well that for the last so many years, I have been posting my “Good Morning” messages on our WA group. Along with the GM message, I also post photos and pictures of various Gods and Mythological events, so that our readers get acquainted and their day should start with the auspicious darshan of our Gods and Goddesses. Some time back I posted a picture of the entire family of Shiv ji, which showed Shankar, Parvati, Ganesh, Kartikeya and their daughter Mansa Devi. The same was posted on Fb and my other 10+ groups.

A very Happy 2025 to Atuldom

Normally, at the turn of the calendar, i.e. beginning of the New Year, people decide on the activities that they will undertake from Day 1 of the new year. These are generally categorised as New Year resolutions. These resolutions could be of giving up a bad-habit like smoking, flying off-the handle at slightest provocation, or looking after their health by taking up exercising or walks etc. People manage to be true to their resolutions for a few days, weeks or at the most a month. Very few manage to keep up the promise they have made to themselves for longer periods. As for myself, I have never made promises or resolutions so that I don’t feel let down (by myself).
But, there is always a thought at the back of my head that I should be more aggressive and send more posts to Atulji. I managed it to an extent in 2023 but the pace fell in 2024. I am not going to give reasons for my slackness, and most of my reasons are genuine (in my own thoughts).
