The film was produced by Deep and Pradeep productions, Bombay and directed by Kalidas – brother of the Hero of today’s film, Pradeep Kumar. The Music Director was Hemant Kumar and songs were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri (6 songs) and Neelkanth Tiwari (just one song) who wrote today’s song. The cast of this film was Pradeep Kumar, Madhubala, Raj Mehra, Nadira, Dhumaal, Deep Khosla (one of the producers), Omprakash, Tun Tun and others.

The cast included Jairaj, Shakila, Meenakshi, BM Vyas, SN Tripathi, Krishna Kumari, Menaka, Sheikh, Vasant Pehlwan, Dalpat, Sardar Mansoor, Habib, Mithoo Miya, Aga Shapoor, Ranibala etc. The film was made in Gevacolour which was an additional attraction for cinegoers those days. Today’s song is from the film Parichay-1954.
When I sat to write this post, suddenly I realised that in the last 20 posts, I have written 16 posts ( a cool 80 %) on songs from films of the 50’s. Normally I try to have a mix of songs from different decades – my favourites being the 30’s and the 40’s – so that the readers have some variety, while reading the posts. This time somehow, the songs from the 50’s seem to have overtaken all other songs !
