“Bees Saal Pehle”(1972) had come ten years after “Bees Saal Baad”(1962). This movie was directed by Prabir Roy. The movie had Anupama, Farida Jalal, Ramesh Deo, Ritesh (new find), Abhi Bhattacharya, Lalita pawar, Padma Khanna, Jagdev Bhambhri, Mohan Choti, Ifthikhar, Paintal, Sarita Khatau, Sabina Arun, Dushyant, Gautam Mukherji, surya Kumar, samar Roy, Julien, Ratan Gaurang, Saran Kumar, Manjeet, Mohan, Bishu, Maya, Ramesh Kumar, Vinod Mehra(Special appearance) etc in it.
Here is the first song from “Bees Saal Pehle”(1972) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. S H Bihari is the lyricist. Hemant Kumar , who was the music director of “Bees Saal Baad”(1962) as well, is the music director.

The movie had Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Raza Murad(Introducing),Nadira, Dulari, Asit Sen, Tarun Bose, Manmohan, Sudhir, Johny Whiskey, Daya Devi, Raja Duggal, Rashid Khan, Kamla, Hameed, Jyoti, Fazlu, Abdul, Manohar, Suman, Ramlal, Hari Shukla, Anand Narula, R.P.Ghosh, Ranveer Raj, DinaNath, Kanwar Ajeet Singh(Dharmendra`s real life brother), Manmohan Krishna etc in it.

So valentines’ day, as the world celebrates, is over and done with. All the red heart shaped balloons might have lost the air in them and stopped soaring high. All the guys will now be sewing the holes in their pockets that the gifting, dining and partying would have caused. And am sure the gals -as in guys ‘n’ gals- will be waiting for the next opportunity to drill a hole in their guys wallets/pockets.

Today, the 30th of October 2016, is the death anniversary of Vinod Mehra, yesteryear actor.
When Vinod Mehra died in 1990 of a heart attack, at the young age of 45, it came as a shock to many, including myself. He had been a familiar figure in films for the previous two decades, with reasonable success. And at 45, still had plenty to look forward to in his career and life.
