On the occasion of Gulzar’s birthday today (18 august), we are discussing a few songs penned by him. He has written so many great songs in Hindi movies that we are spoiled for choice. Gulzar is one of those lyricists who has not yet reached his individual century of songs in the blog. Hopefully he will reach there in a few weeks time.

“Insaaniyat Ke Deshman” (1987) was a Shankar Movies production. It was produced and directed by Raj Kumar Kohli. The movie had Dharmendra, Shathrughna Sinha, Raj Babbar, Dimple Kapadia, Aruna Irani, Anita Raj, Sumeet Sehgal, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan, Smita Patil, Gurbachan Singh, Vikas Anand, Urmila Bhatt, Abhi Bhattacharya, Janki Das, Pinchoo Kapoor, Iftekar, Paintal, Chandrashekhar, Om Prakash etc in it.
