“Bedaag” (1965) was produced by Anoop Sharma and directed by R Bhattacharya. The movie had Manoj Kumar, Nanda, Lalita Pawar, Shashikala, Shobha Khote, Raj Mehra, Mumtaz, Kammo, Sonia Lee, Mehmood, Walter Lavarre, Gyani etc in it.

Yesterday Peevesie’s mom made her debut as a lyrics contributor by sending the lyrics of a song from “Taxi Taxie” (1977). The movie may be of recent vintage, but little information is available about this movie. That is where we can always log on to our inhouse encyclopaedia and get all the details. I had taken it for granted that the song ‘zindagi ki kasam ho chuke unke ham’ from film MAALIK (1958) has already been discussed in this blog. When I saw the movie-wise list of songs just to know in which year this film was released, I found that two songs from this film have been discussed and this song was not one of them.

Some newspapers tend to have columns called “This day that year” or similar. In that column, they discuss the important events that happened on that day in the past.
Today is 29th of december 2011. If I am asked to describe what I did in the past years on this day then I will draw a blank for most of the years, including years as recent as one or two years back. But ironically there is one year on this date that is as fresh in my mind as if it happened just yesterday. In reality, it happened exactly 40 years back. Yes, I remember the day of 29th december 1971 very well. It was a day that did not begin all that well but became memorable as the day wore on.
