Like in any other fields of activities, momentum matters a lot in a blog like this where regular posting of songs is a given. When I am cruising at a rate of six-seven songs in a day, it looks all to simple and comfortable. I was not aware about this movie called “Poonam” (1952). Once I became aware of this movie and I began to search for songs of this movie, I found that almost all these movies were sung by Lata and they were picturised on Kamini Kaushal as dance songs.

“Raag Rang” (1952) is a movie that was a home production of Geeta Bali. This movie had Geeta Bali and her sister Sudha Bali acting in it and their brother Digvijay Bali was the producer. Ashok Kumar was the hero of the movie.

“Shrimatiji” (1952) is a movie that was different from the usual Bollywood movies. Its storyline was not Indian, rather that was drawn from external sources. And it is interesting to find stereotypical depiction of exotic people in this movie and its songs.
