nahm began to contribute lyrics in the blog from 8 feb 2011, about a month after Atif M (the first lyrics contributor in the blog). That made nahm the second regular lyrics contributor for the blog. The first song contributed by her that appeared in the blog was Do dil toote do dil haare (Heer Raanjha)(1970). This was followed by Aap yoon faaslon se guzarte rahe (Shankar Hussain)(1976). The third contribution was Ab to hai yumse har khushi apni (Abhimaan)(1973).

In the process of completing the posting of all known songs of Mukesh till 1950, getting the last few remaining songs is turning out to be quite an effort. With our Holy books overflowing with stories involving all types of Gods, Godesses and Bhakts, film producers must have never fallen short of stories. Famous and well known studios like Bombay Talkies, Sagar, Mohan, Prakash, Prabhat, Wadia or Filmistan stuck to popular and traditional stories like Satyavan Savitri, Bhakta Dhruv, Shri Ram or Shrikrishna. other production companies tried comparatively less known, unknown or even Hybrid stories (Mythological base but treated in filmy style) to make films.

So another reminder for another request from AK ji. This song is from a relatively lesser known film by the name ‘Amar Jyoti’ from 1965. I say relatively, in comparison to the better known film by the same name from 1936.

“Piya Milan Ki Aas” (1961) was directed by S N Tripathi for Vijay Films. J S Cashyap was the producer. The movie had Ameeta, Manoj Kumar, Sunder, Pratima Devi, Jeevan, Nalini Chonker, Daisy Irani, Indira Bansal, Polson, S. N. Tripathi etc in it.

Amar Samaadhi was due to some unknown reasons, an unreleased film of sixties, but this marvellous music composition is evergreen and does not need any labels for its supreme quality of music. It was produced under the banner of Atre Pictures and directed by Shahu Modak. Shyama and Shahu Modak were the leading team, but little is known about the other star cast. Vasant Desai composed music to the lyrics of Bharat Vyas. It seems that at least three songs were recorded, a Lata solo (Poonam ki chanderi raaton mein) a Lata Rafi duet (Aaj ke prabhaat ki paheli kiran) and this RaagaMaala.
