Mahipal, a name that is so familiar as the actor behind the ‘Raaj Kavi Diwaakar’ in V Shantaram’s ‘Navrang’ (1959), as the healer Zabak in Basant Picture film ‘Zabak’ (1961), or the swashbuckling swordsman Paras in Movieland’s film ‘Parasmani’ (1963), and many more characters played by him in films with historical, mythological and religious themes.
