Today’s song is the last and final song from the imaginary Costume film- Laal Pari-1954.
The film was made by N.C.Film- Nihalchand films- name of father of MD Hansraj Behl. It was produced by Gulshan Behl- brother of Hansraj behl. The Music Director was Hansraj Behl. Lyrics were written by Asad Bhopali. Story was by Niranjan, screenplay was by M.R.Bhakri and Dialogues were by H.Lata. The film was directed by Kedar Kapoor, making his Debut as a Director.
The cast included Shakeela, Mahipal, Kuldeep Kaur, Tiwari, B.M.Vyas, Helen, Maruti, Johnny Walker and many others including funny unknown names like Bachha, Bihari, Raju, Khanna, Khurshid etc etc.

Produced by Gulshan Behl under the banner of ” N.C.Films”, Bombay, the film was the Debut film of the director Kedar Kapoor. The music was by Hansraj Behl and the songs were written by Asad Bhopali. Producer Gulshan Behl was the brother of Music Director Hansrsj Behl. The banner was started in the name of their father Nihal Chand (N.C. Films).

Talat Mehmood had sung most of his duet songs mainly with Suraiyya, Geeta Dutt, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle and Sudha Malhotra. I get a feel of an affinity between the singers on the one hand and the actors on the screen on the other hand when I listen to Talat Mehmood-Geeta Dutt duets. This combination is pleasing to my ears and gives credence to what is intended in the lyrics. The song which comes to my mind in this context is ‘armaan bhare dil ki lagan tere liye hai’ from JAAN PEHCHAAN (1950).
