Today (25 december 2016) is the 97th birth anniversary of Naushad (25 december 1919-5 may 2006). As is usual for us, we celebrate an occasion like this by discussing a few songs of the artist concerned on such occasions.

Big places like Delhi or Bombay (now Mumbai) are well known places and everyone knows them. People who live elsewhere, especially in small places want to visit these places.

I came to know just now that today (18 february 2016) is the birth anniversary of Nimmi (DoB 18 february 1933). I was not sure that I would be able to find a Nimmi song that was not yet posted. Prima facie, most Nimmi songs were composed by Naushad, Shankar Jaikishan, S D Burman, Ghulam Mohammad, Madan Mohan etc and most movies of these music directors are already YIPPEED in the blog.
